Oblivion to launch with PS3

Bethseda Softworks recently announced that its critically acclaimed Xbox 360 and PC game, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, will launch with the Playstation 3. This is huge news for Sony fans anticipating the new console, as Oblivion pretty much redefined the concept of an RPG when first released back in March.
It set new standards in terms of AI, story, graphics and gameplay, and was a huge system seller for Microsoft, being the first true 'must have' next gen game. Similarly, it could boost PS3 sales into the stratosphere. With such a big price tag, gamers looking to outlay up to $1500 AUD for the console, accessories and a few games, need to be convinced that PS3 games will offer an experience impossible on the PS2. Oblivion will fit the bill nicely, make no mistake.
It has won countless awards and Game of the Year nominations, and it seems certain that the PS3 will be able to handle the impressive technical requirements of such a game (and then some, hopefully). Given, it will be a port of the Xbox 360 game, and will suffer from not being built from the ground up for the Playstation 3, but that won't stop hundreds of thousands of gamers picking it up this November in North America and Japan, and next March in Europe and other PAL territories.
