Crysis Monthly Update #1

June 3rd 2008 16:33
Crysis is a first person shooter game produced by CryTek and released in November 2007. Although, this is an older released game, it's still very popular amongst PC gamers.

If you aren't already aware of Crysis, the game is played in year 2019. You're playing against aliens in a fairly realistic and exciting environment and storyline. The basic premis of the game is that an asteroid crashes on a tropical island, and the North Koreans rush to secure the area. The US Delta Force Squad, of which you are a member of is sent to investigate. You must fight the North Koreans and the aliens that emerge from the asteroid.

Now, for the updates that you're here to check out...

Note: CryTek will be releasing monthly updates. This is only the first installment.

CryTek has adressed the multiplayer disconnect concern, noting that since the beginning of May there has been a number of reports where players suffered a connection issue with the Gamespy master servers.

CryTek addresses the two parts of the problem.

1. Gamespy Maintenance: For the first few days of hte connection concerns, the master server was actually turned off due to regular mainetnance. Because of miscommunication, they were not able to notify the community becuase Community Management got the notice too late. After a few days, the system should have started working fine.

2. Random Disconnects: After the regular maintenance, a few issues arose that prevented people from playing online after some time. These random disconnects from the game servers and the complete disconnects for the CryNET system occured more frequently.

Gamespy and CryTek's Multiplayer Dev Team is trying to figure out the problem so that they can resolve it as soon as possible If you still have problems, you need to contact Cry-Alex at alexander {at} crytek {dot} de, but as of a few days ago, they believe that they have fixed the random disconnects.

They are continuing to monitor the situation, but they're confident that they have correct the problem.

If you are looking for cheats and patches, you can check out this page, as it will give you the cheats for Crysis and Crysis patches 1.1 and 1.2. Oh and sorry guys, in the monthly update, CryTek said that as of now there will not be a Crysis Patch 1.3.
