Wii Internet Channel

December 31st 2008 15:46
When compared to the xBox 360 and PlayStation 3, the Wii's internet channel is just not quite as advanced as it could be. In time, I only hope that we will be able to play with gamers in other cities, states, and countries. I mean, I can kick some major butt playing the computer at Tennis with the Wii Sports pack, I only wish that I could play someone other than the computer and people in my house. You know, spice it up a bit...

But, with the current Wii internet channel, it's well... Blah...

First off, you need 500 Wii Points in order to actually download the Wii Internet Channel, which is fine and only makes sense. But, it's just so frustrating.

Downloading the Wii Internet Channel
  • I mean, you have to connect to your broadband internet connection and download the Opera Browser by pulling up the Wii Shop Channel from the Wii Menu.
  • If you haven't pulled it up before, you'll have to agree to the User Agreement first.
  • Once, the welcome screen comes up, you want to select 'Start Shopping,' and then select the 'Wii Channels' from the Wii Shop main menu.
  • Next, you have to select the 'Internet channel,' select 'yes' to agree and confirm the download.
  • At this point you finally have the Opera Browser, and the 'Internet Channel' will appear on you Wii Menu.

So, all that accomplished, and now you can surf the web on your Wii.

The Internet Channel allows you to redeem your Wii Points for downloads and WiiWare games. That's about it... I mean, you see it's a start, but it's a small baby step to hopefully being able to play with others on the Wii Internet Channel

Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop

    December 29th 2008 13:53

To be released on January 20, 2009, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop is going to deliver an intuitive and interactive experience as you and other players use your Wiimot to shoot, slash, and bludgeon your way through a zombie infested mall, while you fight to survive.

Chop Till You Drop follows the story of Frank West, who is an overly zealous freelance journalist who's on the hunt for the story of a lifetime. Throughout his pursuit, West makes his way to a small suburban town- Willamette- to find that it is overrun by zombies.

West escapes to the mall, thinking that he'll be safe there, but the mall is anything but safe. West, finds that he will need to struggle to survive the endless number of zombies.

You will have full reign of the realistic mall with its varied stores, each offering a wide supply of real and makeshift weapons that you can use to fight off the enemy.

If you find that West is running low on health, you can run to the restaurants or cafes to buy a meal so to restore his energy and continue his brutal fight.

You can bide time by messing around with the costumes and improvising with the highly ineffective weapons, such as toy weapons and footballs.

I can't wait to play and review this action packed game.

    COD World at War Cheats

    December 26th 2008 17:40

I know so many people who have purchased Call of Duty World at War. I mean, I have two cousins who spend at least 5 hous a day playing the game on Xbox 360, and I have a third cousin who purchased an Xbox 360 (upgrading from a regular Xbox) just so that he could play COD 5. That must mean something about the game

    Fallout 3 Cheats

    December 16th 2008 01:25

So Fallout 3 is probably one of the more popular role-playing video games on the market today, and even the biggest gamer and Fallout lover can't get all the way through solely on his own gaming tolerance. Well, maybe but it would take a good bit of work that a few cheats and codes could easily help out your experience, maybe even make it more enjoyable if you have a little help

Set up Auto Shut-Off for PlayStation 3

    December 7th 2008 15:48
Video games are found in so many households now that it is important that everyone is aware of how much energy they really use. I mean, it's not something you typically think about but your console really does use a lot of energy.

Now, if you have a PlayStation 3, you have the least energy efficient gaming console that it currently on the market, so you want to make sure that you consider all of the energy efficient things that you can in order to make sure that you are not spending over a hundred dollars a year just to play your playstation, not to mention the games you'll rent or buy, and any other factors that will involve how much money you'll spend throughout the year playing your PlayStation 3

    Left 4 Dead Review

    December 3rd 2008 10:21

Left 4 Dead is a video game that we've seen the same or similar storyline concept in a number of movies. Basically, you and up toe three other survivors must battle a zombie apocalypse with a simple goal in mind- to survive. The differnce between Left 4 Dead and all the other movies and video games with similar concepts, this video game feels to be more of an experiement with gameplay that is near out of this world

    Animal Crossing: City Folk Review

    December 1st 2008 14:36

The original Animal Crossing game was released for Game Cube, and after the release of the Nintendo Wii, there has been talk about converting Animal Crossing from GameCube to Wii. Well, it's here and it's your decision as to whether or not it is a series video game. I mean, the game really has no end and the entire game is based on gardening, shopping, fishing, and chatting with neighbors. There's not much to it, and serious gamers probably won't find much out of the game, if you ask me
